Report a ConcernCORPORATE INTEGRITY AND COMPLIANCE The Board of Directors and management of TherEX, Inc. have committed the company to conduct business in compliance with legal requirements, ethical principles and exemplary business and professional standards. The company’s compliance program is a key element in the company’s continuing effort to improve quality and meet the information privacy and security requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 ("HIPAA"). While the Core Values of honesty, integrity, service, responsibility, continuous improvement and teamwork are individual attributes, and each person ultimately is responsible for his or her own conduct, the company is committed to maintaining a working environment that promotes these ideals and permits its employees to demonstrate the highest standards in performing their daily tasks. As caregivers, TherEX workforce members promise to give patients the highest quality of health care, sharing information about their health only with people who need it to do their jobs. Fulfilling the company’s commitment includes ensuring that all employees know the company’s position and share in the responsibility of monitoring for compliance. TherEX’s policies and procedures are summarized in the Employee Handbook and detailed in the TherEX Policy and Procedure Manual. Both are available in print or CD versions at your workplace. TherEX has established a reporting system to monitor and ensure compliance.
The TherEX workforce member may report non-compliance in any or all of
the following ways:
Non-compliance places both the individual and the company at risk. Consequences for non-compliance may include dismissal, loss of licensure, inability to work in healthcare, and civil and/or criminal penalties Under the HIPAA privacy and security rules, compromising patient information confidentiality (even accidentally) can result in fines or imprisonment. It is your responsibility to report any non-compliance. |
